First flights to Rhodes and Kos
Season opener for Greece
The first flights to the Aegean Sea were well booked: On 1 May, the first flights flew from Lübeck to Rhodes and on 6 May to Kos. This means that Sundair is doubling its Greek portfolio from Lübeck this summer.
Rhodes, the larger of the two islands, is known for its rich ancient history, especially the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The island was an important center for trade, culture, and seafaring during the ancient Greek and Roman periods. Today, Rhodes is a popular tourist destination known for its historic old town, beautiful beaches, and lively nightlife.
Kos also has a rich history and is famous, for example, as the birthplace of the ancient physician Hippocrates. The island has an abundance of ancient ruins, including the Asclepius, an ancient sanctuary dedicated to the god of healing, Asclepius. Today, Kos is known for its beautiful beaches, picturesque villages and the relaxed atmosphere - and inspires many holidaymakers every year.
