The Carnival of the Animals at Lübeck Airport
A musical animal adventure for the whole family: On Sunday, October 4, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., Lübeck Airport will become a concert stage for Camille Saint-Saëns’ famous “Carnival of the Animals.”
Lions, elephants, kangaroos, and many other animal characters will come to life through music. Together with dance and storytelling, the performance creates a varied family concert for guests of all ages.
The Rocaille Ensemble Lübeck will perform together with Anke Kestermann’s dance group and the Lübeck School of Music and Art. Around 20 children will bring the different characters of the work to life through dance. Susanna Proskura will guide the audience through the programme as narrator, and Sven Fanick will be the musical director.
